January 25, 2017 Devotional: Special Purpose
Does God have a special purpose for me?
God's Response:
And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice - the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you which is good and pleasing and perfect.
- Romans 12:1-2, NLT
You didn't choose me. I choose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.
- John 15:16, NLT
God's Promise:
For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the first born among many brothers and sisters.
- Romans 8:29, NLT
Reflection (made by the blogger herself):
Remember God made you for a purpose. You are chosen by God to let the love of Jesus shine upon you to make an impact to others. God gave you spiritual gifts and make use of it to make a sphere contribution to your influence. The more you fulfill your general purpose, the clear your specific purpose will become.
