ERWIN MACUA: A STORY OF INSPIRATION

This guy is all over the news both in Cebu and reached national news too. I know him because he is one of my Dads in College. Yes, I'm a Theresian & I'm proud to be one.

Kuya Erwin Macua worked as a security guard in St. Theresa's College Cebu for 17 years. I remembered during my freshmen year that he would check on me all the time. He doesn't do that to me but to all Theresians he met. He would constantly remind to prioritize studies because its what you can give back to your parents. There are times when I have 7:30am classes in the morning & I would be in school a hour early so I stayed with him in the guardhouse & catch up on him. Also, there are times I would treat him breakfast since the both of us didn't have breakfast yet.

When St. Theresa's College accepted boys in School Year 2013-2014, Kuya Erwin took the opportunity to continue his studies. By the way, he took Civil Engineering in Holy Name University back in then. By day, he is a student and by night he is working as a security guard. He managed to do both at the same time to finish his course. He is taking up Education major in General Education. 

His story alone can tell everyone that you have to do everything to achieve your dream and never give up. Us, Theresians are so happy that we would flood our respective social media accounts with his post.

Kuya Erwin, thank you so much for what you have done for me and the rest of the Theresians. We are proud of you and we are praying for you to pass your upcoming Board Exam for Teachers.
