JULY 20, 2017 DEVOTIONAL: RISKS
July 20, 2017 Devotional: Risks
What kinds of risks should I take?
God's Response:
When you work in a quarry, stones might fall and crush you! When you chop wood, there is danger with each stroke of your ax! Such are the risks of life.
- Ecclesiastes 10:9, NLT
The wise are cautious and avoid danger fools plunge ahead with great confidence.
- Proverbs 14:16, NLT
A prudent person foresees the danger ahead and take precautions; the simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences..
- Proverbs 22:3, NLT
Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor fear the dangers of the day.
- Psalm 91:5, NLT
God's Promise:
Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him, and He will help you.
- Psalm 37:5, NLT
Reflection (made by the blogger herself):
According to Merriam Webster Dictionary, risk means someone or something that creates or suggests a hazard. Taking a risk maybe a good thing or a bad thing. Good thing means you have good intentions with it. Bad things means you are taking foolish chances which will lead to stupidity. Building your relationship with God is taking a risk. Why? He calls you to go out of your comfort zone and follow him while putting your full trust in him to help you all throughout. So are you ready to take the risk to build a strong relationship with God? I'm praying for you as well ☺
